Between 2018 and 2019, I led the design team in Megaputer to build the first design system of my life. It's basically a UI library that stores all the design components for designers to quickly grab the elements they need in their own projects.
That was back in the days when we switched from Sketch to Figma. After fully understanding the differences between Sketch and Figma, I decided to stop building UI libraries in Sketch and all the designers moved to Figma and built a new UI library there.
During that time, I learned a lot of tricks to make "symbols" in Sketch and "components" in Figma. This UI library looks "messy" but it works. Because we had figured out all the essential elements needed for a design library.
